Digital UK's Retune Guides

Digital UK is pleased to advise that updated versions of the Retune Guides are now available.

There are two guides that are designed to be added to manufacturers' UK DTT receiver production. The guides are to remind consumers of the need to retune their Freeview DTT model on various occasions and provide instructions on how to complete the process.

There is one generic guide for integrated digital televisions (IDTVs) and digital boxes and another generic guide for digital television recorders (DTRs). These carry generalised instructions aimed at covering all makes and models. These could also be used by retailers and consumer advice agencies.

To help overseas factory workers identify one guide from another, images representing a digital box, IDTV and DTR have been added on the front covers of the relevant versions.

The PDFs below can be put into use with immediate effect. To download the files, right-mouse click on the links and choose 'Save Target As ..'. To view the files, left-mouse click on the links.

GUIDELINES FOR USE

Design

Only that produced by Digital UK to be used (e.g. front page map, titles, digit-Al etc).

Colour Scheme

Digital UK colours or black and white printing is acceptable. No other colour way can be accepted.

Separate Sheet Preferred

The leaflet ideally needs to be separate to the main instruction manual:
  1. This allows for a doubling of the chances that consumers will have the relevant directions to hand when needing to retune.
  2. The thinner/single sheet can be more easily located beneath the digital box or IDTV.

Pre-Release Check

A copy of a manufacturer's draft changes is to be sent to Digital UK for sign-off/approval before implementing in production.
